I remember as a small child, my mom watching the Time Traveler, Dr. Who. He was quite the eccentric, wasn't he? I loved how he would go to various places in time and space, using his machine, TARDIS (acronym for Time And Relative Dimension(s) In Space).
The original version of the Sci-Fi series ran from 1963 to 1989, and starred : William Hartnell initially.
Here's a video of the introduction to the original series.
As for time travel it's self, it is defined as (via Wikipedia) "is the concept of moving between different points in time in a manner analogous to moving between different points in space, either sending objects (or in some cases just information) backwards in time to some moment before the present, or sending objects forward from the present to the future without the need to experience the intervening period (at least not at the normal rate)".
We in a way, do use time travel. But in a different way. Such as using Time Capsules. And watching old footage from news reels. But to travel to the future, not the past, that takes some real doing and know-how, primarily scientifically. And we have yet to gain that knowledge and ability.
Will it ever happen? I can personally never say "never" or "impossible". Well, maybe so for MY lifetime. But in my children's lifetime, or their children's it may very well be possible. Technology advances in new ways all of the time. Practically on a daily basis, really.
What are your thoughts on Time Travel?

Personally, I just don't know. If the past and future exist in different dimensions then I suppose it is possible, since I do believe in other dimensions. Hard to say you don't believe in something, when you contradict yourself by believing something similiar. I was watching Ancient Aliens on Sunday regarding the Nazi's getting help with technology from aliens, and that suspected time travel to do so was involved. Who knew?
Ohhh... Stopping by from Fab Friday over at FTLOB. I am a huge dork about paranormal so I look forward to following your blog!!
I can't say that it will never happen, but I don't think it will be for a very long time yet. And I hope more than anything that there are huge restrictions if it does finally get perfected. I don't want my life to be totally messed up because someone meddled. Life is hard, sure, but I like it that way.
I'm new to your blog! I found you on FTLOB and can't wait to read more! Feel free to check out my blog as well!

Oh, and one more thing... I've always had a hard time with Time Travel in books. One of my favorite books had a sequel where two secondary characters from the first book went back in time and changed the past. Therefore, the first book didn't happen because the main character was never born... Aggravating.
