California's Most Haunted Places

Please take this video and all it states as claims, with a grain of salt. This video is almost an hour long and filled with various stories and claims of personal experiences and legends of hauntings throughout the state of California. Including the Whaley House in San Diego.

According to the date stamp, this is about 3 years old.

Part 1 of 6 of "Ghosts of California" with the date stamp being about a year and a half ago since it was posted.

Been A While!... Update.

First of all, I hope everyone had a great New Years, Christmas and Thanksgiving. It's been QUITE a while since I laid a post down in here.

Here's a quick and simple update...

Yes, I still see the boy. Not always at the base of my stair area leading to and from my basement. I still also sometimes see the ghost cat that is eerily similar to my living cat in appearance.

My son's room is still icy cold, no matter what we do to ensure that no cold drafts are coming from the base of the attic door. And speaking of the attic, I STILL hate the damn area.

I'm thinking that it is indeed time to buckle down and buy that digital recorder. First, only to record the attic area to see what sounds transpire overnight with no one up there. Then try an EVP session with asking questions at a later date.

Sometimes, when I am alone, I don't always "feel" alone. And every so often, I hear laughing, a single word from out of the blue, or even my name being called out.

The other day, my son was in my room, helping to fold some laundry. I left for a brief moment. And again, according to him, of its own volition, the touch lamp went up a notch to the highest level. And knowing my son, being he has had one too many scary run ins, he wasn't doing it himself or trying to pull my leg. The look in his eyes and on his face told me that he witnessed it and was NOT the one that caused the lamp to turn up another light level.

Hopefully, I can get back in here and blog again soon. Cemetery visiting season is coming soon. And no telling what can happen out there. Especially if I take my one girl that seems to be sensitive.

You Be The Judge...

The following video is of a real Paranormal Investigation in the UK.

Orbs are very much debated about and in many cases, held as being just bugs and/or dust particles.

As for EVP's (Electronic Voice Phenomenon, or electronic recordings of a spiritual being not heard in "real time", but only after playing back the recording), they are not always intelligible. Most are quite difficult to understand what is being said. Can you make out (at the end of this piece) what is being said?

This Blog's Been Haunting me..And A Blog Hop

As of late, I haven't had any what I would call TRUE paranormal experiences. So I can't really write from MY perspective of close encounters or experiences. And if that is at times the case, I at times will post a video or an article about a Paranormal topic, and then give my thoughts, views and opinions.

When I do the latter, it can often times be time consuming. And after not really getting any feedback I felt it was time to stop writing on here for a while. And I stuck to my guns in that regard.

And in doing so, I hope that with the lengthy hiatus, I have managed to give my readers a good break, along with myself. So I'm looking to start back up writing on this page. Either of my own happenings or of paranormal things that I find of interest to talk about.

And feel free to join me over at the Weekend Wander over at For The Love Of Blogs as well.

It's a wonderful community of bloggers from all kinds of spectrums of writing.

Have a wonderful weekend, and I'll be writing again in here VERY soon!

This Very Well *MAY BE* The Last Post For *This* Blog....

It's with a heavy heart that I say that. Because I have put MUCH time and energy in to that blog. I have never made it a "secret" of my belief in the Paranormal or of the things I have personally witnessed and/or experienced.

I've done pieces on various *reportedly and infamously* haunted places. Done writings on various Paranormal topics, and have openly discussed my own experiences or those of my husband and children.

ParanorMel is primarily centered around the topics of ghosts and hauntings. But I have been known to speak of other things such as UFOs and aliens.

Personally, I feel that I have done pretty much everything that I can to "attract" readers and readership. But alas obviously, to no avail.

So, I'm at a point now that if my efforts of piecing together posts on that blog (which CAN and HAVE been tedious to do, depending on need of information or media availability such as videos) are in so-called "vain" then I'm wondering why I'm doing it? It's most certainly not to hear myself talk (so to speak). But to educate others, let others think for themselves and have the opportunity to voice THEIR views and opinions without ridicule or being called nuts or crazy for their beliefs and what they themselves may have experienced within the Paranormal realm.

Honestly, I don't care if you (generally speaking) have a difference of opinion or view. As long as you state your difference in a manner of civility and respectfulness, then I say POST IT and be HEARD. I'm a big girl and I know that I will NEVER always "be right" or will always have people agree with what I see, think and feel about the subject. That's not how life works.

ParanorMel was started as a way to let others see that they are NOT alone in their quest for answers in the world of the "unknown" and as a way for me to document personal experiences of (primarily) myself and of my kids, whom have had experiences of one kind or another since toddler-hood.

I enjoy sharing the stories of experiences with my readers. But when you don't hear from anyone about 99% of the time about what you have written, it's (I feel) time to let it go and move on. And it saddens me that I have come to this point with that blog, seeing as I LOVE journaling there about the Paranormal.

But at what "price" to myself and MY TIME? I take time out of MY day to write posts, some of which CAN and have taken as much as 45 minutes to write, depending on the subject and what media content I wish to place in the piece. And to have my work subsequently 'ignored' 99% out of 100% of the time, to me is obscene and a proverbial "slap in the face" to me and my work.

My time could be better well spent, in all honesty. But I write for various reasons. And in ParanorMel, I write as to give others hope, reassurance, and to see what my "paranormal life" is like.

With that said, I feel that it may be time to "close up shop" over on that blog and call it a day. Thoughts?
